BioGrids Membership

BioGrids software is available to members of the BioGrids consortium. Membership is open to academic and industry researchers using computational biology and bioinformatics methods. We support software for genomics, proteomics, systems biology, and related fields.

To join, or for more info, see BioGrids Membership.

Register for an installation manager account

Once a member, you'll need to register for a BioGrids account to install software. This provides access to the software installation manager and support resources. The registration process requires an institutional email address (no gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc.). Your lab's Principal Investigator (PI) will need to verify your membership.

Accessing the Software

BioGrids offers multiple ways to access the software:

  • Graphical User Interface (GUI): A user-friendly interface for those who prefer a visual approach.

  • Command-Line Interface (CLI): For advanced users who are comfortable working in a terminal.

Access the software through the BioGrids Installation manager, which provides instructions and links to the appropriate interface.

Local Site Installation

For larger research groups or specific installation requirements, BioGrids software can be installed locally as a complete collection. This mode is typically used for groups of labs or HPC resource users. To request a local site installation, contact the BioGrids team. They will provide guidance and assistance throughout the process.

Additional Resources

BioGrids provides documentation and support resources to help users maximize the software's potential. If you encounter any problems or have questions, contact the BioGrids support team at help@biogrids.org.
