BioGrids provides a streamlined installation process for individuals and institutions. Choose the method that best fits your environment.
1. Prerequisites
Before installing, ensure you have: * Consortium Membership: Apply at biogrids.org/join. * Account Credentials: Register your institutional email at biogrids.org/registration. * System Check: Verify your machine meets the System Requirements.
2. Choose Your Interface
We offer two ways to manage your software. You can switch between them at any time.
Graphical Interface (GUI)
Best for: Desktop users and those who prefer a visual catalog. * Features: One-click install, visual progress, and easy search. * View GUI Guide
Command Line (CLI)
Best for: Advanced users, server deployments, and automation. * Features: Scriptable, lightweight, and efficient for remote systems. * View CLI Guide
3. Installation Steps (Personal)
Step 1: Download
Visit the Downloads page to get the installer for your OS.
Step 2: Activation
Run the installer and provide your site, username, and key when prompted.
Step 3: Install Software
Once activated, you can select the tools you need. BioGrids handles all dependencies automatically.
